Use a silent installation to perform an identical installationof HCL Connections and IBM® Installation Manager on multiplesystems.
Update the IBM Installation Manager on Linux using the graphic user interface. Features version 1.4.1 on Fedora. See other videos: Installing IBM Installation Manager on Linux and Uninstalling IBM. Installing and configuring the Tivoli Access Manager Java runtime environment (Red Hat Linux only) Installing the IBM Global Security Toolkit. To install GSKit on a Linux system, follow these steps: Log in to the system as root. For SuSE SLES-7 31-bit systems only: Ensure that the compat-libstdc package is installed.
This task assumes that IBM InstallationManager is not installed on your system.
Ensurethat you complete all the prerequisite tasks that are relevant foryour environment. For more information, see the Before installing topic.
Note: However,do not complete the prerequisite tasks that relate to IBM Installation Manager.
Edit the defaultresponse file to suit your environment. For more information, referto Using the default response file.
Usinga response file for your intended deployment, install HCL Connections on multiple systems without needingto interact with the installation wizard.
Toperform a silent installation, complete the following steps:
Procedure
- Open a command prompt and go to the location of the silentinstallation file. The file is stored in the HCL_Connections_set-up/HCL_Connections_Install/IM/OS directory, where HCL_Connections_set-up is the directory ormedia where the HCL Connectionsinstallation files are located and OS representsyour operating systemNote: To change the pathsto the response file and log file, edit the lc_install.ini file. The file is located in the HCL_Connections_set-up/HCL_Connections_Install/IM/OS directory.
- Run the silent installation script:
- AIX® or Linux™ (root user): ./installc -input response_file -log log_file -acceptLicense
- AIX or Linux (non-root user): ./userinstc-input response_file -log log_file -acceptLicense
- Windows™ (administrator): installc.exe -input response_file -log log_file -acceptLicense
- Windows (non-administrator): userinstc.exe -input response_file -log log_file -acceptLicense
where response_file is the full path andname of the response file and log_file is the fullpath and name of the log file. The default name of the file is LC.rsp.By default, the response file is stored in theHCL_Connections_set-upHCL_Connections_InstallIM directoryon the installation media.
Complete any applicable post-installationtasks. For more information, see the Post-installation tasks topic.
Referto Post-Installation tasks formore information.
